politics and friends

Friends and politics don’t mix. Chances are you won’t agree with your friends all of the time on political issues. Unless you are willing to say good-bye to half of your friends, keep your political views to yourself. That means don’t forward political emails or have political discussions at social gatherings, especially if you aren’t sure if their political views.

driving in the left lane

Did you know that the left lane should be used for passing? Okay, maybe not on just a regular city street, but when you are on the highway, the left lane is for faster drivers.  SO, if you are getting passed by someone to the right of you, you need to get over in the right lane. In some cities this is now a law, and it should be considered law regardless of where you live. SLOW DRIVERS KEEP RIGHT.

Being pregnant is not an open invitation  for people to touch your stomach. That pregnant belly is attached to the rest of the body. If you wouldn’t go up to someone and caress their gut when they aren’t pregnant, then don’t do it when they are.

charity marathons- noble act or free personal fulfillment?

A coworker asks if you will sponsor them for a charity marathon. But does it really seem like you are just paying so they can fulfill a personal challenge? Or so they can check marathon off their list, or try to run a shorter race than last time. Or so they can have a reason to get in shape, and have that hot runners body? How many people really do it for the actual charity?

don’t have a gift?

Don’t tell someone you have a gift when you really don’t. If someone gives you a gift, and you don’t have one in return, graciously say thank you, end of story. If you really do have something for the person, then bring it to them the next day so it doesn’t look like you made it up.

talking on cell phone in public

Do we really need to say this? Apparently so because too many people do it! Don’t have personal conversations loudly in public on your cell phone. It’s rude and people don’t want to hear it. Even worse on speaker-phone.
